Online Giving

Gifts can be given through the online giving site via credit cards or electronic funds transfer.

Check

Checks should be made payable to the UGA Foundation and on the memo line designated for College of Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS).

Please mail to:
Office of Development
224 Dawson Hall
University of Georgia
Athens, GA 30602

Securities

Your wise market investment is a great gift to FACS! By donating the financial instrument, you avoid long-term capital gains tax and deduct the full market value on your tax return. It is almost always to your advantage to transfer appreciated securities to the Foundation directly, rather than selling them and giving cash.

Please contact the FACS Director of Development at 706-542-4946 to learn how to make this transfer. Even if you have given stock previously, it is very important to contact us so that your gift is properly designated and you receive the recognition and tax credit you deserve.

Planned Giving

A wonderful way to support FACS is by including the College in your estate plans.

  1. Find out how to include FACS in your will.
  2. Get information on other ways of giving through my estate.
  3. Suggested language to include in your will.

Please contact the FACS Director of Development at 706-542-4946 to learn how to leave FACS in your estate plans today.

FACS Annual Fund

FACS Fund for Excellence

The FACS Fund for Excellence responds to a variety of needs.  Gifts provide scholarships, research grants, and travel opportunities to professional meetings for deserving students.  Leadership initiatives for students including the FACS Ambassador program are funded through private gifts.  This fund is also used for faculty and staff professional development opportunities as well as recruitment and retention of faculty.  Our FACS Alumni Association is dependent on private support for its activities including FACS Magazine, the Donor Scholar Recognition program, and two convocations.
