100 Legacies in the Making
Dear FACS Family:
In March 2006, the College of Family and Consumer Sciences set out on a mission. That mission was to help further secure the future of our wonderful college. To do that, we started a unique campaign—the 100 FACS Legacies in the Making—to document 100 planned gifts by March 31, 2008. To do that, we needed to have 100 individuals and/or households include the college in their estate plans. No specific gifting tool was required; no specific amount was required.
Over the past two years, you have seen the 100 Legacies logo below. Initially, you saw the logo start with a few red paisleys—each of which represented planned gifts to our college. Over the last 24 months, you have seen red sweep across more and more paisleys on the logo—an indication that more and more dedicated friends and alumni like you were supporting this important campaign and, more importantly, the future of FACS.
We are so very pleased, at the close of this innovative campaign, to report that we not only met but exceeded our goal of securing 100 FACS Legacies! In fact, we now have 106 documented planned gifts to the college! We are thrilled with the success of this campaign but, even more so, we are so proud of each of you—members of our FACS Family—who care so much about a college that continues to positively impact the lives of many.
So we thank you—all of our 106 Legacies and everyone else who supported this campaign and the College of Family and Consumer Sciences in any way. Your gift will, undoubtedly, touch the lives of many for many years to come.
Sincerely,

Though our 100 Legacies campaign is officially closed, it’s never too late to include FACS in your estate plans. Your support is the basis for future success.
