Molecular bases of energy balance and regulation of growth--for more information see http://www.arches.uga.edu/~cbaile Teaching:
Endocrinology Outreach:
Technology transfer to industry for commercialization. Interests:
Our laboratory has a broad interest in the molecular bases of energy balance regulation and growth. Our research includes various aspects of the control of feeding behavior and energy balance regulation by the central nervous system. The roles of leptin, myostatin and growth hormone are of special interest. Biotechnology tools, including the development of transgenic animals, genomics and proteomics are utilized to study the molecular bases of these systems of animal physiology.
