Your academic advisor will advise you on how to meet your degree program requirements. Students are required to meet with their academic advisor before they register for classes.
Each student is given an academic advisor based on their major upon entering into the college. A student must see their assigned advisor and may not choose to meet with any other advisors in their departments.
CFD, FDN, HACE,or TMI students may schedule their advising appointment using the College of Family and Consumer Sciences online scheduler.
Steps to Take
- Check on OASIS for your appointment time to register for classes. This time is set by the Registrar’s Office according to the number of hours a student has earned.
- Make an advising appointment before your registration appointment time.
- Your advisor is listed on the worksheet you were given upon entering into College of Family and Consumer Sciences.
- Meet with your advisor and make sure to mention any study abroad options, internship ideas, transient courses, or graduation checks that you may wish to discuss.
