Designer collections for Spring 2010 were full of what WWD called “spice shades,” a rich palette of saffron, paprika and curry tones. The trend was apparent in collections by the likes of John Galliano, Dries Van Noten, Carolina Herrera and Fendi. This selection of items from the Department of Textiles, Merchandising and Interiors’ Historic Clothing and Textiles Collection features a number of items from the 20th century showcasing orange and yellow shades. This is the third in a series of color exhibits. The first two exhibits showcased blue and green.
