Applying to a DI Program

Upon completing the Didactic Program in Dietetics, students must complete a supervised practice program (such as a dietetic internship or DI) to become a registered dietitian.

Guidelines for applying to a supervised practice program (such as a dietetic internship) can be found here for Fall and Spring match cycles. UGA students can view helpful resources for applying to these programs as well as steps to obtaining the NDTR certification on this password-protected page.

All students are invited to attend DICAS Workshops led by the DPD director (2 times per year; 1 in fall, 1 in spring). During these workshops, the following information is presented: supervised practice application process overview, overview of online matching system, professional preparation for supervised practice programs, and an overview of Declaration of Intent and Verification Statement Request forms. Workshops are usually scheduled in conjunction with Student Dietetic Association meetings and are announced at the start of each semester.
