Fashion Merchandising and Advertising double major
- Activities/Honors
I’ve been in Infusion magazine since I was a freshman. I’ve done almost every position available and have been part of six magazines. I also was editor-in-chief for two years where I produced four magazines. I also held a part-time job at the Pride Center for two years. During my junior year I was able to be part of the Black Retail Action Group (BRAG) cohort which helped me get an internship at a large media company. I have received the Georgia Commitment Scholarship, the Georgia Soft Goods Education Fund Scholarship and others from both FACS and Grady.
- Why I chose my major
I chose the FM program because I've had a love for fashion since I was in elementary school, since then I knew that I wanted to work in the fashion industry but didn't know the career path I wanted to take. I like how the FM program here at UGA isn't so niche and exposes you to different careers in the fashion industry that I had no idea existed before coming to UGA.
- What I like most about FACS
I like how available the professors and advisors are for the students. Everyone is willing to help in any way they can and connect you to others with the same goals and interests as you.
- Post-graduation Plans
I plan on working in corporate retail.
