Why I chose my major

I decided in middle school that I wanted to be a Child Life Specialist. Since then, I researched many schools, but I knew HDFS at UGA had the best courses available to set me up for success. I chose my major because HDFS offers the best courses in child development to prepare me to be a child life specialist. Having a major in HDFS helped me understand people as a whole and provided me with skills to apply to any career in the future.

What I like most about FACS

I love how passionate every professor is about their subjects. I felt very supported in my own passions throughout my education. I also love all the opportunities for professional experience and connection to the Athens community.

Post-graduation plans

I plan to begin my career as a Certified Child Life Specialist after graduation.
