- Why I chose my major
I'm very interested in developing new and functional materials that can be used to improve people's life such as nonwoven products and functional garments. The Polymer, Fiber, and Textile program in TMI at FACS provides plenty of opportunities for graduate students to express their research ideas and improve their research skills, independent thinking, and presentation skills. Besides, the research topics in the program are very interesting and critical, which attracted me the most. And all faculty and staff in FACS TMI are very kind and supportive.
- What I like most about FACS
What I like the most about FACS is the warm and kind studying environment all faculty and staff in the program provided for students. They guide students not only through research and coursework but also through their lives here, which is so helpful, especially for international students. Besides, all the education and financial resources provided to students are also deeply appreciated. And I thank all training and developing opportunities provided to students through teaching, conferences, presentations, etc.
- Post-graduation Plans
After graduation from both the Polymer, Fiber, and Textile Sciences program and Statistics program, I plan to find a job where I can use both my polymers and Statistics knowledge, for instance, R&D engineer in chemical/composite companies or Data Analyst in chemical/related companies. I enjoy developing new materials through experiments and data collection and turning raw data into useful information for decision-making.
