Nutrition Education Coordinator
Nutrition Education Coordinators identify and deliver evidence-based nutrition programs and curriculum to the SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) eligible population in a community setting. Striving to increase participants’ knowledge of nutrition and physical activity, Nutrition Educators help to develop new environmental and policy level approaches to nutrition programming according to the US Dietary Guidelines and USDA Food Guidance System. Programs will emphasis nutrition, wellness, chronic disease management, food safety, food systems and/or gardening or similar.
