Interning in the SSAC has been one of my most valuable undergrad experiences. Through this internship, I have grown in my communication skills, learned how to prioritize responsibilities, and developed in leadership. I am confident the tools I gained from this internship will be incredibly useful in my job after graduation.
My internship at the SSAC has given me the skills needed to be successful in student affairs. I've gotten experience working with students, planning events, completing self-started projects and everything in between, all while working alongside supportive staff and faculty members.
My experience with the Student Success and Advising Center was great. The growth that I was able to see both internally and externally was extremely rewarding. I was able to improve skills, develop myself professionally, and meet faculty, students, prospective students, and staff during my time with the SSAC. I would definitely recommend this opportunity to students looking to grow in all areas, regardless of major or career choice.

I feel like the SSAC has something for everyone who wants to work with people in some capacity in their future aspirations. I have learned so much about recruitment and interpersonal skills, and I feel like I really have a voice in ideas and problem-solving.
The SSAC really helped with professional and personal growth. It also helped me appreciate all the things that the College of Family and Consumer Sciences does for all of its students. I would suggest that any students, regardless of major or experiences, apply for this internship because you will gain so much knowledge about the SSAC, FACS, UGA and the surrounding community, while bringing ideas and perspectives that make the student experience different.
